there is no such thing as a slut
there is no such thing as a slut
- there is no such thing as a slut
what a woman does with her body is nobody’s business but her own and if you choose to judge her based on her promiscuity or any sexual actions that she does of her own, then you really need to stop focusing so much of your time worrying about what others do
here’s a tip for a person that’s been bullying my friends on fucking tumblr of all places
Tell me again that there’s no double standard? Oh that’s right; there is one.
I’m getting real tired of seeing guys reblogging my comic about the ending on Halo 4 with comments like “I cried like a bitch” or “I was crying like a girl”. Ummmmmm….. No. Obviously, you were crying like men because at least 75% of the “I cried” comments are coming from dudes.
You’re human and have feelings like everyone else; trying to pretend like you’re too tough for that just makes you look bad. So seriously… Stop it.
Axe says they’re “scouring the world for a few brave men” to send into space.
The current leader has less than 3,000 votes. The runner up has less than 700 (and they’re taking the top two). That’s nothing for you, fandom.
Vote for me HERE. How awesome would it be if a woman (a fangirl, no less) actually won this thing? Sherlockians, Whovians, Potterheads, Trekkies: I want to be your impossible astronaut!
Okay, we need to vote her up just for this sexism alone please
GUYS GUYS GUYS GO VOTE
I want her to go to space
COME ON GUYS!
i want her to go to space so badly everyone please go and vote her for
i don’t have facebook so i can’t vote but everyone who does have facebook should go and vote for her immediately
Aw yiss, you go girl! Let’s get this lady into SPACE!
still good :D
I think in some ways, it’s quite the opposite. There is nothing more terrifying to anti-feminists than femininity.
Remember Me, coming May 2013 from Capcom and Dontnod Entertainment, is a third-person video game starring Nilin, a mixed-race lady, in dystopian Neo-Paris in 2084. Nilin had her memories wiped by her former employer, but will use her skills as a memory hunter to alter her enemies’ memories and restore her own. Exploration and platforming are major parts of the game, so expect Mirror’s Edge-style parkour without Mirror’s Edge’s major failing: Spontaneous gun battles. Combat in the game is entirely hand-to-hand, with no guns, blood, or killing. Instead, players create combos on the fly in the Combo Lab (which touts over 50,000 different combos according to Capcom) and rely on on-screen displays to see how effective they are against an enemy. If you’re not super psyched for this game yet, let me give you a quote from the co-founder of Dontnod:
CVG: Remember Me’s lead character is a mixed-race female, which stands out against the crowd of white male heroes. There’s a sense that publishers attach risk to anything other than white male leads. At any stage in development, did you feel you needed to change the lead character’s appearance?
Jean-Maxime Moris: No, we wanted Nilin to stand out. I think these sort of issues become self-fulfilling prophesies; people saying that only white males sell so then everyone only does white males. If you start believing these things you get your head inside this cold marketing strategy that you cannot get your head around. It becomes a pretty fucking racist and misogynistic way of thinking about lead characters. To summarize: Remember Me is a third-person cyberpunk dystopian parkour platformer starring a non-sexualized non-white lady who knows 50,000 ways to knock somebody out. Coming May 2013 to PC, XBox 360, and PS3.

I’d like to take a minute to talk about the female Spartans in the Halo 4 multiplayer. In particular, I’d like to talk about their armor, because 343 Industries did an AMAZING job with it.
For starters, that video is of a female Spartan. If the same video was taken of a male Spartan, the only difference would be that the male spartan would be slightly bulkier with a less defined waist. The reason that they would look almost identical is that, for once, a video game has given us female armor without a boob-plate, boob-cups, or with missing pieces that leave vital organs exposed for the sake of showing off flesh, and a female avatar that is realistically shaped and is decidedly not fan-service material.
The armor is designed to protect the wearer, not enhance their sex appeal at the cost of endangering them in combat, which makes this armor some of the best that I have seen in ANY game. Even Female Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, who is one of the most progressive female characters around, still gets boob-plate armor.
Unfortunately, if you look at the comments on the actual youtube video, you’ll see that this has pissed off some of the angry, sexually frustrated man-children who want their fantasy-fulfillment armor and bodies, from Halo Reach, back. That’s their problem though. As a girl, I love that there’s a game out there that took me seriously enough to give me a realistically shaped character in armor that looks like it could actually survive combat.

Omg you need to WATCH THIS TED TALK RIGHT NOW
It’s (almost entierly non-problematic) feminist: yes
It talks about social ques given to children through kid’s movies and the whole Magical Quest trope: yes
It talks about raising boys to respect women in a way that’s not just chilvarly: yes
It’s written by a man: yes
Watch, listen and learn, because this guy knows what he’s talking about. It’s important to teach the right lessons to both girls and boys.
This is fantastic, funny, and extremely true. Both girls and boys need to learn together that they’re equal, not just “girls can be powerful” and “boys can be powerful”. take a sec to watch this, dashboard!
A great watch. Share with your friends.
Really great for everyone. Storytellers in particular,

Mental Contortionist: thegoddamazon: chaosghost: I like women to be ladies, and there are...
I like women to be ladies, and there are certain things ladies don’t do. Ladies don’t dress like two bit whores, ladies dont smoke cigarettes, and ladies don’t drink alcohol and get drunk.
Ladies should be ladies, not sailors.
Hi. I’m Aisha.
I’m a…
I’m tempted to just bunker down and never go out ever again. Dealing with men is just too difficult. Jesus jumping Christ LEAVE ME ALONE I DON’T WANT YOUR DICK.
Men are always asking me “why is feminism still important?” and “why should I care about feminism?”
I can’t answer that for you. Go out and learn it.
Go into the city with a female friend. Walk 20 feet behind her and listen.
Make an account on a social site. Use a female name and photo. Post something, anything.
Go to a Take Back The Night march. Listen to the survivors speak out afterwards.Set a timer on your phone or watch for two minutes. When the alarm goes off, another woman in the United States has been sexually assaulted.
Make an account on a dating site as a woman. Check your messages.
Take a walk through a toy store. Look at which toys are “meant” for boys and which are “meant” for girls.
Hang out with six of your female friends. Statistically, one of them has been raped. The chance that her rapist served any jail time for it is 3%.
Watch a movie. Almost any movie will do. Who’s the hero? Who gets saved? Who speaks the most?
Listen to other guys insult each other when they REALLY want to put each other down. “Pussy.” “Bitch.” “Sissy.” The worst thing for a man to be is like a woman.
But most importantly, read. Read bell hooks, read Jessica Valenti, read Amanda Marcotte, read Gail Collins, read Julia Serano. Read blogs and essays. Read literature written by women. I bet they didn’t assign you much of that in high school English class.
If I had unlimited time and energy to debate with you and patiently explain Why You Should Care About Feminism and counter each of your points with all the books and articles I’ve read, believe me, I would. But I don’t.
So go out and learn.
