"She’s just like the weather, can’t hold her together. Born from dark water, daughter of rain and snow." Landscape/Florence + the Machine
I’m having a rough time lately. This was a paint-doodle that exploded.
I love these three and I’m devastated because there’s no way that they’re gonna make it through the end of the series alive and unharmed. I’m just going to draw happy naptime and live in my denial bubble a little longer…. /weeps
I did some doodling with copics tonight.
My midterm from my digital coloring class. We had to color this in about two hours. I’m actually very happy with how it turned out. I unfortunately don’t know who the pencils or inks were by, as this page was assigned by our professor with no additional information.
I don’t know what happened. Oh god. Someone send help. This is a collaboration between me and Narrendor. She did the pencils and inks and I did the colors.
(Please fullview! Tumblr has made the preview look funky, as usual.)
I found some Hellblazer pages that I colored for my digital coloring class last spring. The pencils and inks are by Marcelo Frusin. I actually had a lot of fun with this one.
For my latest Character Design assignment, I had to draw a four step transformation of a character. I chose my character Kerry Blackwell, and transformed her into a demon. I had a version with some rendering, but I think this one just looks better with flat colors.
(I’m especially fond of the last stage- Kerry as an Arch Demon was hard to design, but I think the end result works very well.)
I revamped Keep the Earth, my Bioshock Infinite/Star Trek crossover painting because the sky looked strange.
Please full-view, the preview still looks weird.
Art is hard. Turnarounds are the hardest though. Character designs for a project where we had to design a hero for a cartoon that plays a guitar.
Mine is Thera Avala: intergalactic pop sensation space diva, from a race of aliens called Muses, who fights the evil robots that are trying to take over the Earth by playing her Sonic Guitar.
Unfortunately the humans aren’t supposed to know she’s an alien and her guitar undoes her disguise when she plays it. On the up-side, she’s pretty cool either way. (I came up with this at like… 4am.)
More character design stuff~ we had to design a rockstar character for a TV show. Now I just need to come up with a story to go along with her…
(The bottom version was the original, but with the red dress she really just looked like Uhura… which wasn’t… completely my intention, so I put her in a blue dress instead.)
