White Collar just keeps winning so many points in my book…
The latest is the way that the show handles its female characters, in particular FBI agent Diana Berrigan. She’s a person of color, a lesbian, and a take-no-nonsense bad-ass. She is also feminine and classy, but not to the point that she becomes a caricature or another cookie cutter “ideal woman”. But most importantly, she’s not vilified for being any of those things. She isn’t in every episode, but when she is, her character is an indispensable member of the FBI team, because she’s smart, driven, brave, and dedicated to doing her job.
I REALLY wish there were more characters like her on TV.
